As for OOC rules, we won't insult your intelligence - everyone knows the Golden rule, and it applies at Aevum; treat others as you would like to be treated, be respectful of the moderators and administrators, and have patience for your peers.
If it's possible that what you are going to say is going to be offensive to someone, keep it out of the public forum.
All instances of flame wars, name calling, sexist, racist, or bigoted remarks are not permitted on the game in the least. There is a one infraction rule - one instance of a behavior that is unacceptable, you will be warned. Do it again, and you'll be banned.
If you feel that there is unacceptable behavior happening on Aevum, or you feel that you are being harassed by another member, please PM The Storyteller and tell us. This is a game, and as such should be fun, but not at the expense of another person.
We expect and encourage innovation and originality - refrain from taking other player's names, images, posts, character sets, etc. This, like other questionable behavior, may result in banning.
Aevum's play board is vastly wide, however, we do request that you keep your signature images, post tables, and references at or below 500 pixels in width. Also, please refrain from using moving images, it tends to slow down the board!

Aevum is considered to be intermediate to advanced - this means that we expect players to be able to construct a post that is at least one paragraph in length (preferably more), is of decent and descriptive content, has correct spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.
Posts are to be in the past tense, and in the third person. I.E, "He walked", and NOT "I am walking".
In order to remain as a part of a clan or tribe, members must post at least once every ten days.
Members are permitted to join up to two characters without needing to seek permission. If a member wants a third, fourth, fifth or sixth character, you will need to ask permission.
When posting, members must appropriately tag their threads for other participants. The most common tags are:

Private; only specific characters may join the thread, this should be indicated in the body of the post, or in the subject/title. |

Mature; content is not appropriate for members under the age of 16, because the content is either explicitly sexual or graphically violent in nature. |
Members under the age of 16 are not permitted to participate in threads that are tagged as mature - this is a legal issue, and is not in place to ruin anyone's fun, but to protect Aevum as a whole. If a member under 16 is found to be participating in a mature thread, the thread will be removed. Other repercussions will be on a case by case basis.
