Appearence
Pris is small for a Tarin. At only 32 inches tall at the shoulder, about 67 inches from snout to tail tip, and weighing only around 110 pounds, he makes for a petit, seemingly delicate creature. His fur is smooth and sleek, shining brightly in the light, and his feathers are the same. His colors begin with a mask-like band of red-ish orange covering his dark blue eyes and ringing around his black muzzle, and the same orange covers his throat, fading all around into the golden yellow which covers most of his body. As for his wings: the bases of his greater wing-coverts, tertials, and primaries are green, while his secondaries, the tips of his primaries, and most of his primary coverts are dark blue; the undersides of all of his flight feathers are dark gray. His tail (the bird feathers and normal tail) is olive-green with a blue tip. The scales of his fore legs are a soft gray, and his claws and nose are black. Pris is graceful, and moves with a feather-light step.
All in all, a beautiful creature.

Personality
Pris is gentle and compassionate. He seems timid, but in truth he is just careful. This is not to say that he is distrustful of others, just that he simply grew up in the presence of one particularly negative influence. Pris is intelligent and soft-spoken, which sometimes makes him seem distant, but he is perfectly aware of his surroundings. He has a knack for interpreting the emotions of others, and is a good person to talk to, a shoulder to lean on. He himself usually behaves in the most calm and dignified of manners, though he is prone to flights of fancy. He can be a very playful, personable avari. It takes a lot for him to open his heart to a potential romantic interest, but once he does, he becomes a steadfast, dedicated, loving companion.

History
Pris was born to Crystaline Clarity and Graceful Shade in their second litter, along with his sisters, Silent Sibilance and Crystalline Sanity. His two older siblings, Silver Grace and Shrouded Sunset, had both already left the family territory before Pris’s litter had been born. With them lived his uncle, Dark Deception, who had lost the ability to hunt for himself when his hind legs had been crushed under a falling tree in a storm.
He was a bitter, mean, cold individual, and Pris’s mother did not like having him around, but Shade was unwilling to send his older brother away when it would surely mean his death. Thus, the quiet, rather feminine Pris always had his uncle’s cruel voice in his ears and his mind, taunting and sabotaging his thoughts. His father never said it, but he, too, realized how feminine his youngest son was, and he was disappointed about it, though he hid it well. Finally, the dastardly uncle drove Pris to leave home, around nine months of age.
At first, Pris thought that there was something wrong with the way he was, just as his uncle had whispered, but over time, and after meeting many new and different avari, he came to accept himself for who he is. Pris has traveled far in his life, and is currently residing in the lush, secluded paradise that is Santorini.
