I'm saph the local relocated aussie living in the states. You probably know me from myth as Ifrit and Kari but if you don't I like art, rock music, fantasy, martial arts, writing, rockclimbing, whitewater rafting, and plotting to take over the world. Ya know the usual. I'm prone to being hyper, and have a bit of twisted sense of humor but I dun bite.... much.

Appearence
A near black ultramarine blue that lightens to a medium tone of this hue at his paws. His coat is flecked with white like the stars in the sky. His wings are the deep ultramarine on his spine on the top and the medium ultramarine on his toes on the bottom. Eyes bare golden Egyptian markings around them and his toes are dipped in the same gold. His primary's are also gold tipped. These markings are like the edge of the sun just peaking over the horizon. His namesake markings are perhaps the most spectacular. Swirls of reds, pale yellows, blues, bright cyans, and violets pattern his sides, from behind his ears to about midway in the tail, banner like and colorful. The borealis Neither marks his face nor legs. The top part of his wings are opalescent shimmering the color's of the aurora. His eyes are bi colored, one a shocking violet, the other a bright teal.
His frame is muscular, almost stocky, but because of this is powerful. Angular and sharp features give him an edge and make him him longer and more lithe than he actually is. His paws are a little larger than usual, having been born from generation upon generation in the north act like snow shoes. Wings are similar in shape to a bird of preys. His tail, like many of his species is long, and there is a concentration of feathers nearer to his rump. A jagged set of four slash marks on the right side of his neck and a thin slash on his muzzle mar his coat courtesy of his brother Abel. His eyes aren't always the best at focusing, particularly after he wakes up or there is a dramatic change in light. Standing at 37 inches not only is he strong he can also loom.

Personality
Proud, Vain, and Distant are three adjectives which describe him well. He likes to show off what he's got but one rarely gets past that figment of his personality. Speaks slowly and seems stupid, but contrary to belief he possesses a sharp mind and even sharper whit. If you get past his thick, shallow shell he is perhaps the loyalest friend your will ever get, so much so he will trust you blindly. Defensive of those he trusts and his blind faith in Helios. Violent if pushed. Likes to be alone. Dislikes people who are loud. On bad days he can be bitter, harshly sarcastic, and even more distant than usual.

History

Born to a pack far to the north in late winter, under the lights of the aurora. The markings of the aurora were prized by the pack and so he got more attention than his paler, sun streaked brother. His pack believed that the northern lights were a gift from Helios to remind them that the sun god was still there even when he was bellow the horizon. Thus Cain was brought up under Helios' bosom and his brother Abel grew bitter as he got less attention.
However nothing but sibling rivalry affected the brothers until the summer of his second year. That was when dawn was born. She took a liking to Cain right away and disliked Abel. Soon the rift that the sibling rivalry had placed grew in intensity, and they were no longer able to be particularly civil to each other, even at pack meetings.
When the pack leader, who happened to be mateless and pupless named Cain as his heir that was when Abel snapped. Fed up with getting the short end of the stick, Abel lashed out. A vicious fight ensued and in the end Abel was the victor. As a finality he struck Cain on the head with a powerful blow and then left the passed out wolf to die. A Loner came upon Cain's prone form and nursed him back to health, but he was forever changed. As a result his eyes can't focus all the time, he speaks slowly, and had lost the flamboyant and sociable aspects of his personality. He also became slower to trust.
He slowly fell in love with the loner female that had saved him, but she only liked him as a friend. Eventually at age three he gave up and left, traveling south to explore the warming climate that was foreign to the land of of Ice, snow, and evergreens he had come to know. He also found the fact that Helios was around year round intriguing.
