Most RPGs live and die by the details that their players breathe into the game - Aevum is no exception. Aevum offers quite a few little trinkets that may not seem to have any relevance to the general player - to this we say au contraire! Here, we will go over several extras that Aevum offers, and what they do.
99.9% of these goodies reside in your Profile, and are simple enough to use. Most of them have a little helpful blurb about what each does and any guidelines to using the function. Any questions? Field them to our Q&A
OOC EXTRAS
Other Aevum Characters - if you play more than one character at Aevum, this allows you to show a much reduced version of your other character(s) avatars in your OOC area posts, as well as in your profile.
Avatar Credit - If you have an avatar made by someone else, this field enables you to flaunt your chosen Aevum artist on all In Character posts. It's nice if you link back to them, or, at your choosing, may simply provide their name/studio.
Plot Request Thread - For those of us who are looking to drum up some IC posts, you simply make your post in the THREAD REQUEST forum, grab the topic number, and paste that into this field. It will show up in your profile, OOC and IC posts and will allow people who click on it to be taken right to your plot request page!
Your Studio - Same as above, except this time you fill in the field with the topic number of your studio thread! Again, a handy way to have people simply routed to your studio!
Thread of the Moment - some members like to follow other character's threads, plots, and the like. If you're one of these people, you can post in the thread number here, and show the whole game who you're following! Or, conversely, if you are in the midst of a juicy thread and you want the whole world to know, you can flaunt it here!
IC EXTRAS
RESEMBLES - Tarin, Chelan, Hova, and Arsinoe all are creatures of Aevum who can come to resemble something of the world, be it a bird, a fish, a bug, or a piece of sky. If you have any examples of what your character resembles, you can link to a picture! Or, if not, you can simply write out what it may resemble (I.E., a Tarin may resemble a Blue Jay, or a Blue Jay)
AVATAR GALLERY - The longer that we play a character, the more avatars that we accumulate. Why not have a place to keep them and show them on display? Our thoughts exactly! Simply use the code found to the left of this field, fill it in, and flaunt your stuff! Please keep all images at a max of 50x50 pixels, and insert a line break after every five images.
REFERENCE - Much like avatars, we have a habit of collecting references of our characters by many different Aevum artists - show them off! Please keep the references at a max of 500 px in width, and remember to credit their creators!
EXTRA & GOODIES
THREAD LIST - We all have a post like that we can see our current threads in, when it is our turn to post, etc. But what about those times when we're feeling nostalgic, and just want to go back and read some well enjoyed threads? This is your chance to do just that! Follow the format to the left of this field, and you'll have a clean, easy to follow thread list!
