Luck was on her side; never had she been so thankful for being nosy or curious. The young adult had searched for hours and she had finally found a nice to call home, hidden in ground that smelled like nothing more than the earth itself. Actually, it was less like a den or a simple crack, and more like that of a small burrow. The tunnel from the entrance branched off into two rooms. One of the rooms was nice and compact, warm, and good for winter. The other opening was rather spacey and wide, good air flow for the summer. This burrow had the looks of being dug out, but she was positive that nothing was living in it... until now, of course. Claiming it, Yun rubbed her face and pawed at the earth all around the narrow entrance, marking the den. It was a pleasing home to find, but she needed something more than just soil to lay on, moss or straw would do better. Her neck extended a graceful head into the open air, and black eyes quickly locked onto the forest that belayed on opposite side of the gorge. When her destination had been chosen, Yun leaped from the hole in the wall and into the air above the water. Wings snapped open, and the plum Hova soared over the gorge. Flapping, she traveled upward into the forest. In the end, she descended silkily back onto her feet. Moss conveniently covered most of the tree trunks; the winter air had dried it out. Yun padded up to healthiest patch she saw. Opening her jaws first, she clamped back down on the plant. Then she tugged it loose, robbing the tree of the growth and some and bark. Yun continued this process until she could not carry any more in her muzzle. Finished with her picking, and adding some sticks into it, she went to the ledge and spread her wings.

Omg...I'm finally getting active here x______x
It seemed like he had been asleep for years, wings ached to be released out into the cool breeze of the transition between spring and winter. Multi-colored eyes blinked furiously at the blaring sun, his glossy black fur fluffed and stood up straight from the chills. He was happy to finally see the full intensity of the sun, which had been hidden behind the gray clouds, hiding away until spring made its calling.
He hadn't been out for a while, just returning from a long outing before finally being able to see the results of his home, their home. Society was making its calling, and it was Tokage's duty to see to it that the other members were doing alright. He wasn't much of a talker himself, and in fact tended to speak more with his actions than words. However, words were better spoken to, and for Tokage that was a big step. When the elders left this place to him, he didn't consider the responsibilities at the beginning, and intended to work this place like a militia, as he had been raised. Through training and social skills was Tokage finally be able to understand what it took to become a leader. It didn't matter if you had power, or if you had knowledge, you had to have the ones that made up your order. The Avari, in this case, however it was a hard thing for Tokage to isolate certain Avari from the pack. It was in the laws mentioned long before Tokage himself had joined the Tenrai. It was quiet sadly enough, and Tokage was beginning to grow concerned that he was a bit late on his debut. Suddenly though, the sound of the moaning wind caught his ears, as if disturbed by another force of sorts. Sure enough there was another, a flash of imperial plum hued fur with the flared golden pattern. Tokage only watched curiously as the Hova grasped onto some bedding, perhaps for newly burrowed dens or caves. Tokage could only watch, despite that being only slightly awkward. |
