Appearence

The majority of her pelt is a shaded greyish-blue (#6082B6) covering her entire topside including her head. However, as she flies overhead, one can see that her underside is a bit more grey (#7D93A8) starting from under her muzzle all the way through her chest and underbelly and filling out the underside of her fluffy tail. Her hind paws and fore-talons are also colored with this grey. She stands 34" at the shoulder but only weighs perhaps 125lbs, her strength that of a more lean than overtly muscled body. Her wings as they unfurl from her body have the same grey underside (#7D93A8), however, they are a tad more blue on top (#5073A8). A very faint darker grey ring encircles both of her eyes, which could be called to be a hue of forest green (#228B22). Her thick fur is generally a bit disheveled looking, though it is soft to the touch.

Personality
Earthy, honest and good-natured, her sole goal in life at the moment is to find a place where she can belong and to hone the Tarin abilities of a Medic. She practices the full on worship of the goddess Demeter and treats the earth and the things that grow from it with great reverence. Gaia treats every individual she meets as if it is a new start for a friendship, she believes that all should be allowed to make a good first impression, without any pre-judging of how the scenario may play out.

History
Gaia was raised by an elderly Avari Chelan that took pity on the young Tarin seemingly abandoned within Lycoris Boscage in the far north of the continent at the age of two months. It was almost as if her parents had taken her there to learn about the forest, some trial perhaps, as she had been left plumb in the middle of a verdant wild area near a stream. In reality her parents had gotten distracted and had wandered off after bringing her there to explore, absentmindedly forgetting the poor pup. Gaia, of course, did not know that.
The Avari Chelan was an elderly, poor-sighted, blue and silver Chelan named Quari whom resided in Peisinoa Rushes. Gaia being small, and frail at that time, she mistook her for a young Chelan pup, and felt that it was her duty to look over the lost one. However, as the young Tarin grew up along the water's edge with Quari in her isolated home, it was soon apparent that the things that Quari had thought were fins were rather, wings, and that Gaia not able to swim or tolerate the water as well. However, not one to simply give up, as she had grown fond of the young one, Quari continued to teach Gaia what she could, and at the age of one year, it was decided that she knew enough to go on her own.
Originally, Gaia had thought to go explore the nearby Hypatia Ridge and Arctos Peak, thinking that she might have come from those areas. After all, from what Quari had told her, it was possible, often Tarin were seen flying overhead from that direction, and after her initial mistake, Quari matched Gaia's coloration to be that of a more mountainous species. However, she was unable to find even a scrap of an Avari Tarin community or any clues, and thus took to the winds, heading to the west, hearing that the areas were more wild, untamed, and likely rife with the goddess Demeter's touch. Demeter had always been Gaia's "patron saint" in a way, and thus feeling the pull of the goddess, she travelled until she came to a stop in Achlys Grove. Joining the Clan of Elpis Latuit, she swore her skills and life to her new home.
